1. Wondering what’s new with MAFA?

Well, we kicked off our second annual Google Mentorship Program on July 15th with a nice crowd of mentees from Chicago, NYC, San Francisco and more!

With our mentees/mentors at the luncheon and a few attending via the virtual worlds, our guest speaker - Bonita Stewart, Managing Director of US Sales at Google, spoke to the group on preparing a life and career for yourself.

Looking for a good read? Bonita recommended reading Nelson Mandela’s book “Fifteen Lessons on Life, Love and Courage”.

If we had to sum up on theme or piece of advice Bonita left for the 2011 mentees it’d be: “have a plan for your career and take opportunities that follow that plan, not just for money or a title”

If you’d like more information, or are interested in becoming a MAFA leader, please email us at aafmafa@gmail.com. In the meantime, enjoy these pics!
